Clitheroe v Wythenshawe Town
- Family Friendly
It's an all Lancashire showdown and even though Wythenshawe are struggling this season, it promises to be a cracker. Clitheroe have some games in hand, following their fab F.A. Trophy run and it would be too early to rule out a push for the play-offs. The atmosphere is going to be great, as it always is, so catch the bus down to the Loft for a fun-packed afternoon of footy!
Get there by bus!
Valleyline 22 bus stops at Tesco Superstore which is 5 minutes walk from the ground, down Waterloo Road and goes to Blackburn, so to Mainline M2, which goes to Padiham and Burnley.
Combine with a trip on a Great Scenic Journey
The Valleyline 22 from Blackburn is a fantastic trip with so much to see and do in Blackburrn, including the Cathedral and Planet Ice Rink. Stop off at Whalley and visit the delightful Abbey and maybe a tipple at the Wine Bar before heading onto the game. Mainline M2 is also lovely with great places to have peruse the shops in Burnley, then a stop at Whalley.
Arriving in Clitheroe, the Castle and Grounds are a delight. Tom's Tables for lunch is highly recommended. The view from the bus window of Pendle Hill is very eye catching and almost majestic, whilst certainly enchanted - tales of witches abound here!
