Sugar Loaf Mountain, Abergavenny

Sugar Loaf, at 596 metres, is one of the most recognisable mountains in South Wales, visible for many miles across the surrounding lowlands. The distinctive conical profile rises steeply above the Usk valley near Abergavenny, its bare summit contrasting sharply with the forested slopes below. On clear days, the views from the top extend across the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains, and far into England.
