About SeaQuarium Rhyl

SeaQuarium Rhyl is a seafront aquarium on the East Parade promenade in the North Wales resort town of Rhyl. Built out over the beach in a distinctive low-slung modern building, it offers an indoor experience that works well alongside the more weather-dependent attractions along the coast.

Inside, themed zones lead visitors from native rockpools through tropical reef displays to a glass-walled underwater tunnel where sharks, rays and shoals of reef fish swim overhead. Other tanks house seahorses, lionfish, terrapins and a colony of moon jellyfish lit in shifting colours. The centre runs regular feeding talks and handling sessions, with a focus on marine conservation and the ecology of the Welsh coast.

It pairs naturally with a stroll along Rhyl's promenade, the SkyTower viewing platform and the beach itself, making it a useful family stop on a day out in Denbighshire. Indoor cafés and the gift shop round out the visit.
