About this attraction

About Llandudno Snowsports Centre

Llandudno Snowsports Centre sits on the lower slopes of the Great Orme, overlooking the town and Conwy Bay. It is one of the largest artificial ski and snowboard facilities in the UK, offering year-round dry-slope skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing on a dramatic headland setting.

The centre has a main slope, nursery area and a long toboggan run that winds down the hillside, popular with families and groups. Lessons are available for complete beginners through to advanced skiers, and equipment hire is offered on site. Sno-tubing sessions, where riders slide down the slope in inflatable rings, are a particular draw for younger visitors and parties.

Beyond the activities, the location itself is part of the appeal. Views from the top of the slope take in the Victorian rooftops of Llandudno, the long curve of the West Shore and the mountains of Snowdonia in the distance. The centre is reached on foot or by car from the town, and combines well with a ride on the Great Orme Tramway or a walk on the headland.
