Attraction Overview

Constructed between 1787 and 1823, this ornate palace blends Regency architecture with Mughal-style domes and eastern interiors. You’ll explore opulent rooms such as the Banqueting Room, Music Room, and Queen Victoria’s Bedroom, all adorned with lavish décor and original fittings. The palace sits at the gateway to Brighton’s Regency Garden, restored to Nash’s original layout and now a serene complement to the extravagant building. Audio guides and optional guided tours bring the palace’s flamboyant history and royal anecdotes to life.

Be sure to explore...

  • The gilded Banqueting Room, with Chinese chinoiserie walls, opulent ceiling paintings and matching furniture.
  • Queen Victoria’s Bedroom, featuring reinstated Chinese export wallpaper and regal furnishings.
  • The Music Room, dominated by a Tiffany chandelier and decorative organ—an artistic highlight.
  • The peaceful Regency Garden, laid out in formal 19th-century style with lawns and flowerbeds.
