About:

County Cricket comes to the iconic Scarborough Cricket Club situated atop the cliff in North Bay and the venue where so many Yorkshire and international cricketing legends have played.  It’s known as ‘Scarbados’ by cricket fans because the sun always seems to shine there and rain seldom stops play, albeit in recent times, very occasionally, the mist from the sea has caused games to come temporarily to a halt! The ground has a real ambience, set in front of tall terraced houses, many of which provide a place to stay for fans during the match. In the lunch interval, it’s great to wander out onto the top of the cliffs and gaze out to sea or walk down to the front and enjoy the seaside frivolity as well as a trip on the open top Beachcomber bus!
