About The Lexicon

The Lexicon is the open-air shopping and leisure quarter at the heart of Bracknell town centre. Opened in 2017 as part of a major regeneration of the town, it replaced much of the former 1960s concrete shopping precinct with a network of pedestrianised streets, squares and landscaped public spaces lined with around 70 shops, restaurants and cafés.

Anchor stores include Marks & Spencer, Fenwick and a flagship Primark, alongside a wide mix of high-street names, independent traders and a large Waitrose. Eateries range from chain restaurants to coffee shops with outdoor seating, and there is a multi-screen cinema for evenings out. Princess Square, the older covered mall, is connected directly to the new streets, giving plenty of indoor options when the weather turns.

The Lexicon hosts a programme of free events throughout the year, including ice-skating at Christmas, summer street performers, food festivals and family activity weekends. It sits just a short walk from Bracknell railway station and the bus station, with large multi-storey car parks on its edges making it easy to reach from across east Berkshire.
