Queensferry Crossing, South Queensferry

The Queensferry Crossing is Scotland's newest major bridge, inaugurated in 2017 as the second fixed road crossing of the Firth of Forth. With a main span of 680 metres and three striking towers that rise 207 metres above the water, it is an impressive feat of contemporary engineering and a distinctive landmark visible for miles across the estuary.

The bridge carries the A90 trunk road and handles around 70,000 vehicles daily, providing a crucial connection between Edinburgh and Fife. The South Queensferry shoreline offers excellent photo opportunities, as do viewpoints along the Firth paths. The bridge itself has transformed the area's visual identity while significantly reducing traffic congestion on the older Forth Road Bridge.
