About Minnis Bay
Minnis Bay sits just east of Birchington, forming part of the same stretch of north Kent coastline. The beach here is sandy and sheltered, backed by a low promenade and a small village of holiday homes and local businesses. The bay is popular with families due to its relatively calm waters and accessible slipway to the beach.
The area is quieter than central Birchington or Margate, making it a good choice for those seeking a more peaceful seaside experience. A small selection of cafes and ice-cream vendors serve the beach, and there is a beach hut community adding to the traditional seaside character. The bay offers good access for swimming during the summer months and is within easy reach of the wider attractions along the coast, including Quex Park inland.
