Dickens House Museum

The Dickens House Museum occupies a handsome Victorian villa on the seafront at Broadstairs, overlooking Viking Bay. This was one of several houses where Charles Dickens lodged during his frequent visits to the town between 1837 and 1859. The building has been preserved as a museum dedicated to Dickens' life and his connection to Broadstairs, which inspired settings in several of his novels including 'David Copperfield' and 'The Old Curiosity Shop'.
