Strood Esplanade is a pleasant riverside promenade that runs along the southern bank of the River Medway. The esplanade provides an accessible walk from the town centre with views across to Rochester and the wider Medway Valley. It is a popular spot for residents and visitors to enjoy waterfront views and take in fresh air away from the main roads.

The esplanade connects Strood town with the water's edge, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the Medway by foot. The area offers good sight lines along the river, with benches and open space for lingering. On clear days, views extend towards the rural reaches of the Medway upstream, whilst downstream the industrial and maritime heritage of the estuary becomes more apparent.
