About Meadowhall Shopping Centre

Meadowhall is one of the largest indoor shopping centres in the United Kingdom, occupying a vast site in the Lower Don Valley on the north eastern edge of Sheffield. It opened in 1990 on the former steelworks site at Brightside and quickly established itself as a regional retail destination, drawing visitors from across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and beyond.

The centre houses around 280 stores arranged across two levels, with all the major high street and designer names represented, alongside a large Marks & Spencer, Next and a flagship Frasers. The Oasis food court and The Avenue offer a wide choice of casual dining and coffee stops, and there is an 11-screen Vue cinema for evening visits. Themed areas such as the Park Lane and High Street malls give different parts of the centre their own character.

Meadowhall is unusually easy to reach by public transport for a centre of its scale. It sits next to Meadowhall Interchange, a combined railway station, Supertram stop and bus station, with direct trains from Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Leeds. The Supertram Yellow route links it directly with Sheffield city centre in around twenty minutes.
