Hadrian Hotel, Wall

The Hadrian Hotel sits in the small village of Wall, just north of Hexham and a short distance from the line of Hadrian's Wall itself. It is a traditional stone-built country inn, offering food, drink and rooms in a location that has long been used as a base by walkers tackling the Hadrian's Wall Path and visitors touring the Roman sites of Chesters, Housesteads and Vindolanda.

Wall takes its name from its position close to the Roman frontier, and the hotel makes a convenient waypoint on the 680 bus route between Bellingham and Hexham. From here you can walk out into the surrounding fields and lanes towards the wall and the River North Tyne within a few minutes.
