Gravity bar

The Gravity Bar is the showpiece finale of the Guinness Storehouse tour in Dublin, a circular glass-walled room perched on top of the seven-storey visitor attraction at St James's Gate. At roughly 46 metres above the brewery floor, it offers one of the best 360-degree panoramas of the Irish capital, taking in the Wicklow Mountains to the south, the Phoenix Park to the west and the spires of the city centre stretching towards Dublin Bay.

The bar forms the seventh stage of the Storehouse experience, included in the price of admission. Each ticket entitles the visitor to a complimentary pint of Guinness, served by the bar staff and enjoyed while taking in the views through the wraparound glass. Helpful illustrated panels around the perimeter identify the landmarks below, from Christ Church Cathedral and the Liberties to Croke Park and the Aviva Stadium.

The route to the Gravity Bar leads visitors through the rest of the Storehouse, which is shaped like a giant pint glass and tells the story of the world's most famous stout. Galleries cover the brewing ingredients, the Guinness advertising archive and the family's long history at St James's Gate, where Arthur Guinness signed a famously optimistic 9,000-year lease in 1759. Booking ahead online is strongly recommended, as the Storehouse is one of Ireland's busiest tourist attractions.
