About Brass Castle Brewery

Brass Castle Brewery is an independent craft brewery based in the market town of Malton, North Yorkshire, often dubbed Yorkshire's food capital. Founded in 2011, the brewery has built a strong reputation for vegan-friendly, unfined cask and keg beers, ranging from sessionable pale ales to bold stouts and modern hazy IPAs. All beers are produced without animal-derived finings, and the brewery has been a vocal advocate for clearer ingredient labelling in British brewing.

The brewery operates a tap and bottle shop just off Malton's market square, where visitors can sample the latest brews on draught, pick up cans and bottles to take away, and browse a rotating range of guest beers from other independent producers. The taproom has a relaxed, informal feel and frequently hosts meet-the-brewer evenings, tap takeovers, and tasting events.

Malton itself is well worth combining with a visit, thanks to its monthly food market, independent delis, butchers, and bakers. The town is served by direct trains from York and Scarborough, putting Brass Castle within easy reach for a day trip focused on Yorkshire food and drink.
