Pleasure Beach

Pleasure Beach Great Yarmouth is a long-established seaside amusement park sitting on the south end of the Golden Mile, directly opposite the sands of Great Yarmouth's main beach. It has been entertaining visitors for over a century, growing from a modest collection of fairground rides into one of the largest free-entry amusement parks in the United Kingdom.

The park is best known for its Grade II listed wooden Roller Coaster, built in 1932 and one of only two surviving scenic railway coasters in Britain, still operated with a brakeman riding in the train. Around it sit more than seventy rides and attractions, including the Sky Drop tower, log flume, family carousels, gentler children's rides, and a large arcade. Admission to the park itself is free, with visitors buying wristbands or individual ride tokens.

The location is ideal for a traditional British seaside day out. The promenade, Britannia Pier and Marine Parade's amusement arcades, fish and chip shops and ice cream kiosks are all within a short walk, making it a natural stop on any visit to the Norfolk coast.
