Cathedral Café

The Cathedral Café sits within the Close at Winchester Cathedral, occupying a converted historic building just a short walk from the great west front. It serves as a welcoming stop for visitors exploring the cathedral and its grounds, offering hot lunches, sandwiches, soups, cakes and a good range of teas and coffees through the day.

Inside, exposed beams and stone walls give a quiet, atmospheric setting in keeping with the surrounding medieval precincts. When the weather allows, tables spill out onto the lawns of the Inner Close, giving a memorable view of the cathedral, one of the longest Gothic churches in Europe.
