Boxley Warren, Medway

Boxley Warren is a designated countryside and nature area situated on the chalk downland of the Kent Downs, overlooking the Medway Valley. The site combines open heathland with blocks of ancient woodland, creating a mosaic of habitats typical of the Downs' edge. From the higher ground, walkers enjoy extensive views back down towards Chatham and the Medway estuary to the north.
