About Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra gifts you a joyous blend of classic Christmas movie scores and soundtracks as magical as the films they belong to. Join the BSO at the Mayflower Theatre, Southampton on Sunday 29 November and start the festive season off right! A concert of holiday cheer, as exciting as the smell of a pine tree, overstuffed stockings and seeing Santa's sooty footprints by the chimney. With music from It's a Wonderful Life, Home Alone, The Polar Express and more– there's something from all the family's favourite festive film! Enchantingly entwined with pieces from all round hits of the silver screen like E.T., Harry Potter and Frozen. Celebrate Christmas just like they do in the movies! This concert is part of their BSO Pops series – this fantastic array of concerts include popular classics that you will recognize from TV and adverts to full- blown symphonic Spectaculars showcasing the music of the likes of Queen, ABBA and Pink Floyd and outdoor extravaganzas at Meyrick Park in Bournemouth. They also perform regular film music nights which feature some of the best movie classics ever written and an annual feast of Christmas and New Year seasonal treats.
