About Boathouse 4 Event – Pontoon Open Weekend 8 & 9 August Join us at Portsmouth Historic Quarter for our August Pontoon Open Weekend, where you can step onto the Boathouse 4 pontoon and get up close to a unique collection of historic vessels. Explore the boats, meet our knowledgeable volunteers, and learn about their stories and significance. Visitors can enjoy free access to the site, Boathouse 4 and pontoon with a Historic Quarter Pass (available from the Visitor Centre). Selected vessels will be open to step aboard, offering a rare hands-on heritage experience. Boat Trips Available: High Speed Launch 102 – Β£65 per person (45-minute experience) Motor Gun Boat 81 – Β£130 per person (1-hour experience) Landing Craft F8 – Β£12 per adult, Β£6 per child (ages 5–15), Family ticket Β£30 (2 adults + 2 children, 30-minute experience) Trip times (Landing Craft F8): 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm Book online: (Advance booking recommended, with limited availability on the day) Opening times: 10:00am – 4:30pm Location: Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Victory Gate, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth, PO1 3LJ Make a day of it at Portsmouth Historic Quarter, visit Boathouse 4 to see traditional boatbuilding, explore free exhibitions including SHE_SEES, enjoy family-friendly activities, and relax at the Boathouse 4 Kitchen with views across the harbour.
