St Mary's Church, Rye

St Mary's Church is one of the architectural glories of Rye and the East Sussex coast, a testament to the wealth and importance of the Cinque Port settlement at its medieval height. The church sits prominently at the heart of Rye, its commanding 15th century tower visible for miles across Romney Marsh and the surrounding countryside. The tower reaches approximately 90 feet and features characteristic Perpendicular Gothic details including large windows, decorative stonework, and fine proportions typical of wealthy late medieval parish churches.
