About Mall Luton
The Mall Luton is the principal shopping centre in the centre of Luton, occupying a large covered site between George Street and the bus interchange. Originally opened as the Arndale Centre in the early 1970s, it has been refurbished and rebranded over the years and remains the focal point of retail in the town, with more than 100 stores spread over two main levels.
Inside, shoppers will find a familiar mix of high street fashion, health and beauty, electronics, gifts and household names alongside independent traders. A food court and a scattering of cafés and restaurants provide places to rest, and the centre also hosts seasonal markets, charity events and family activities in its central atriums.
The Mall is well placed for visitors arriving by public transport. Luton's main bus interchange sits immediately alongside, with services from across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, while Luton railway station is a short walk away with direct Thameslink services to London and the East Midlands. From the mall it is also easy to reach St George's Square, the town hall and Wardown Park and Museum on foot.
