Lytham Hall

Lytham Hall is a substantial Georgian country house completed in 1757 for the Clifton family, designed by John Carr, a prominent Yorkshire architect of the period. The red-brick building presents a formal south front and retains many original internal features including plasterwork, fireplaces, and period furnishings. The hall represents high-quality provincial Georgian craftsmanship and stands as the architectural focal point of the town's heritage.

The interior includes formal reception rooms arranged over two storeys, with windows offering views across the surrounding parkland. Many rooms contain period furniture, artwork, and domestic objects reflecting 18th-century life. The extensive grounds include open pasture, mature trees, and formal garden areas, providing a landscape setting typical of gentry estates of the era. The hall is now in the care of a charitable trust and offers guided and self-guided tours of both the building and grounds.
