Folkestone Leas

Folkestone Leas is a sweeping clifftop park and promenade that runs for nearly two kilometres along the Kent coast, offering some of the finest sea views on the South Coast. The Leas were developed as a fashionable Victorian and Edwardian resort destination, with the centrepiece being the Grade II-listed Leas Pavilion, a graceful early 20th-century structure that houses a café and hosts cultural events. The gardens are formally landscaped with flower beds, shaded pathways, and seating areas overlooking the cliffs.

From the Leas you can descend to a series of sandy beaches below, accessed by lifts built into the cliff face. The promenade connects smoothly to the town centre and harbour area, making it easy to combine a clifftop stroll with other attractions.
