About this walk
The Tyntesfield Tynings Walk is a gentle circular route through the parkland and woodland of the National Trust's Tyntesfield estate in North Somerset. Starting and finishing at Wraxall and Failand, the 2.4 km loop is easy underfoot and takes around 45 minutes at a relaxed pace, with just under 100 metres of ascent to keep things interesting.
From the start you can wander past the Kitchen Garden, a working walled garden that still supplies the estate, before pausing at the Cow Barn Café for a drink or a slice of cake. The path then climbs gently towards the Wraxall TV Repeater, offering open views across the surrounding countryside, before dropping down into the quiet, mossy interior of Truckle Wood on the return leg.
With more time to spare, it is well worth extending your visit to explore Tyntesfield House itself, along with the Rose Garden, the Croquet Lawn, and the Pavilion café tucked within the wider grounds.
