About this walk
Beginning near Bermuda Park on the edge of Nuneaton, this linear route heads south along the Coventry Canal towpath, following the Griff Arm branch as it curls quietly through the old industrial fringes of north Warwickshire. The water is calm and reed-fringed, and the walking is easy underfoot, with moored narrowboats and occasional herons for company.
Leaving the canal, the path traces Griff Brook past Weston Lawns Fisheries, where anglers dot the lake margins. You skirt the edge of Griff Roundabout at a distance before picking up quieter lanes and green corridors towards Bedworth. A welcome pause is possible at the Prince of Wales before the final stretch.
The walk finishes in Bedworth itself, close to All Saints, Bedworth Baptist Church and the Bear and Ragged Staff pub, all within easy reach of onward buses and trains. At just over six kilometres with modest ascent, it makes a satisfying half-day outing that pieces together canal, brook and townscape without ever feeling hurried.
