About this walk
Starting in Bicester, this gentle route heads out past Bicester Village and quickly swaps the bustle of the town for a chain of green spaces on its eastern side. The path is level and well-surfaced throughout, making it a comfortable hour's walking suitable for most abilities.
From Langford Orchard the way opens into Langford Park, a broad area of grass, trees and quiet paths that forms the heart of the walk. You finish beside Jubilee Lake, a peaceful spot for a pause and a good place to watch waterfowl before turning back or heading on into the village. Garth Park and Langford Village Park sit close by if you fancy extending the loop.
Refreshments are easy to find at either end. The Nightingale, The Kings Arms Hotel and The White Hart are all within a short stroll, offering somewhere warm to round off the outing. With only 17 metres of ascent across less than two and a half miles, it is an ideal choice for a relaxed half-day out.
