About this walk
The Healing Hobble is a gentle 4.1 km circular stroll through the village of Healing on the outskirts of Grimsby, taking in green spaces, quiet lanes and two of the village's landmark churches. It's an easy hour on foot with only a modest 41 m of ascent, making it an ideal short outing for an afternoon.
The route sets off from Ford's Avenue Open Space, a pocket of village greenery, before slipping into the trees of Porris Wood. From here you pass the Keelby & Healing Methodist Church and wander through Cornflower Copse, a small woodland corner that adds a burst of nature to the walk. The loop rounds off near the historic Church of Saint Peter & Saint Paul, the parish church at the heart of Healing.
If you have time to spare, Healing Manor Pond lies close by and makes a pleasant extension. With flat paths, village pavements and short woodland stretches, this is a route that suits families, casual walkers and anyone looking to explore a quieter corner of North East Lincolnshire.
