About this walk

The Estate Trail Path is a gentle 5.2 km circular walk on the fringes of Tralee in County Kerry, starting and finishing at Curraghleha West. With just 67 metres of ascent spread over an hour and a quarter, it makes an easy outing suitable for most walkers looking for a green break close to town.

From the trailhead the route leads through Monument Wood, a quiet patch of mature woodland, before continuing into the well-known Ballyseedy Wood. Here the path winds beneath tall trees and along shaded tracks, a peaceful stretch that forms the heart of the walk. The trail then curves back through Curraghleha East before returning to your starting point.

The walk sits within easy reach of Lee, Ballingowan and Manor East, so it fits neatly into a day exploring the Tralee area on foot. Expect a mix of woodland paths and estate tracks, with plenty of birdsong and dappled light rather than open views.
