About this walk
The Estate Trail at Crom is a gentle circular walk through one of County Fermanagh's most atmospheric demesnes, weaving 5.4 km between ancient woodland, quiet loughshore and evocative ruins. Setting out through the estate, the path leads past the Summer House and into Knocknabrass Wood, where mature trees frame glimpses of the water beyond.
The route continues by way of Aghadrumkilly and Culliagh Wood, with the Little Orchard Tea Room offering a welcome pause for refreshments. From here you reach the ivy-clad ruins of Old Crom Castle, one of the trail's most striking sights, before climbing gently to the deer park viewing platform for wider views across the estate and its surrounding loughs.
With only 130 m of ascent spread across easy paths and estate tracks, the walk suits most abilities and takes around an hour and a half at a steady pace. Nearby you'll also find Crom Castle itself, the distinctive Crichton Tower on Gad Island, and the tranquil waters of Nalughoge and Derrymacrow Loughs.
