About this walk

The Eskeradooey Public Right of Way is a short linear walk of around 2.4 kilometres through the quiet uplands of County Tyrone. Starting at Eskeradooay and finishing at Barnesgee, it climbs steadily with around 125 metres of ascent, making for a brisk 45-minute outing on gently rising ground.

The route sets off near Eskaradooey Bridge and follows the course of the land beneath Ballynatubbnit Mountain, with the Lisnaharney Burn (also recorded as Lishnanarney Burn) threading through the valley below. As the path rises, views open out across the surrounding Tyrone hills and pasture, with the small settlement of Lisnaharney tucked into the landscape nearby.

Being linear, you will either need to arrange a pick-up at Barnesgee or simply retrace your steps back to Eskeradooay, which doubles the distance but rewards you with the descent and a fresh perspective on the same quiet countryside.
