Cringleford, Keswick and Eaton Parish Walks

This gentle linear walk links three parishes on the southern edge of Norwich, beginning in Cringleford and finishing in Eaton. At a little under four kilometres with only modest ascent, it makes an easy hour's outing through a pocket of Norfolk where village edges, woodland and riverside meadows sit close together.

From the start in Cringleford the route passes the parish church of Saint Peter before joining a section signed as part of Kett's Country, a network of paths celebrating this corner of South Norfolk. Along the way there are chances to detour to Cringleford Wood and Bluebell Wood, while The Prospect and the University of East Anglia Broad lie within easy reach for those wanting a longer ramble.

The walk eases into Eaton, where The Red Lion provides a welcome stop at journey's end. With its mix of quiet lanes, woodland fringes and parkland views, the route is well suited to a relaxed half-day from Norwich without needing a car.
