About this walk
This gentle circular walk of just under 7 kilometres explores the quiet lanes and field paths around Brancaster, a village on the north Norfolk coast. Starting near the Brancaster Village Sign, the route heads inland past the flint-built church of Saint Mary before following tracks and quiet ways towards School Farm.
From the higher ground, the walk offers wide views over the surrounding farmland and, on clear days, glimpses of the coastal marshes to the north. The path loops back through open country and returns via the Brancaster War Memorial, a poignant landmark at the heart of the village.
With only around 60 metres of ascent spread across the route, it is a moderate outing suitable for most walkers, and it pairs nicely with a visit to nearby Titchwell or a pause at Titchwell Manor or Manor Farm before or after the walk.
