About this walk

Starting in the village of Sevenoaks Weald, this easy circular route sets off past The White Hart before heading north across quiet Kentish countryside towards the boundary of the Knole estate. The going is gentle, with a modest 145 m of ascent spread across the three miles, making it a comfortable outing for most walkers.

The path skirts the edge of Knole Park, where you can look out for the herds of wild deer that have roamed the parkland for centuries, with glimpses across to Knole House itself. Passing The Masthead, the route follows field edges and woodland tracks that trace the historic boundary of the estate before curling back towards the village.

Nearby landmarks add interest to the surrounding landscape, including River Hill, Echo Mount and the Solefields Service Reservoir, close to the site associated with the Battle of Solefields. The walk finishes back in Sevenoaks Weald, where the village pub makes a natural spot to round things off.
