About this walk

This short linear walk traces a beautiful stretch of the North Norfolk coast between Blakeney and Morston, following the edge of the salt marshes on level ground. Setting off near the King's Arms in Blakeney, the path heads out onto the coastal footpath with wide views across creeks, mudflats and the distant shingle spit.

Along the way you pass the National Trust Lookout, a good spot to pause and scan the marshes for wading birds and, further out, the seals that gather offshore. The route continues westward, hugging the marsh edge, before dropping down into Morston with its quay and salt marshes stretching out towards Blakeney Point.

At just 3.2 km with negligible ascent, it's an easy stroll suitable for most walkers, and Morston makes a natural finishing point with the Anchor Inn close at hand. Nearby you'll also find All Saints church, the Guildhall back in Blakeney, and The White Horse for a well-earned rest before catching the Coasthopper bus back along the coast.
