Blackslee Waterfall Walk

Starting at Whiterocks, this 5.7 km route heads into the wooded uplands of County Fermanagh, gaining height steadily as it follows the line of the burn. The first main highlight comes early: the Blackslee waterfall, a tumbling cascade set among trees that makes a natural pause point before the climb continues.

Above the falls the path pushes on through the Blackslee area, gradually opening out as the tree cover thins. With 354 m of ascent packed into a short distance, the effort is real but rewarded quickly, and the terrain underfoot shifts from woodland tracks to more open hillside as you gain the ridge.

The turnaround point is Aghameelan Viewpoint, a fine spot to take in the sweeping Fermanagh landscape of forest, hill and loch country before retracing your steps back down past the waterfall to Whiterocks. Allow around 1 hour 45 minutes at a steady pace.
