About this walk

This gentle circular route through King's Wood in Kent combines a peaceful woodland walk with a scattering of contemporary outdoor sculptures. Starting from the car park, you follow well-trodden forest tracks beneath tall beech trees, passing waymarked artworks including Ring, Walkway and B52 as the path winds deeper into the wood.

The trail continues past the striking Play Sculpture and Picnic Furniture, a good spot to pause, before leading on to The Last Eleven Years and an Untitled Artwork tucked among the trees. The sculptures are set at natural intervals, giving each one space to be discovered as you walk. Gentle undulations and a total ascent of under 100 metres make this a relaxed outing suitable for most walkers.

The 3.7 km loop takes around an hour at a steady pace. If you have time, nearby installations such as Via Lucem Continues and Super Kingdom are worth seeking out to extend the visit into a full afternoon among the beeches and the art.
