About this walk
This linear walk through the Warwickshire countryside links two of the area's much-loved estates, setting off near Baddesley Clinton and finishing at Lapworth. From the start you head out past The Lees Chapel, following quiet field paths and lanes that thread between hedgerows and small woodlands typical of the old Forest of Arden landscape.
The route joins the Packwood Canal towpath for a gentle stretch of level walking, with narrowboats, bridges and reed-fringed water for company. You'll skirt Pool Tail Coppice and pass Pratt's Pit Pond, a quiet spot for a pause, before continuing on towards Lapworth. Nearby you may glimpse Sides Coppice, The Grove and Fir Plantation, adding to the wooded feel of the walk.
At just over 6 km with modest ascent, it's a comfortable half-day outing. Finish in Lapworth village, where The Boot Inn offers a welcome stop, and where the Grand Union Canal provides an easy onward link for exploring further on foot.
