About this walk
This gentle circular walk of just over two miles loops around the Baddesley Clinton estate in the Warwickshire countryside, weaving together woodland, waterway and a medieval moated manor. Starting near the house at Baddesley Clinton, the route heads out through the quiet Fir Plantation, where tall conifers give way to glimpses of open estate parkland.
The path soon meets the Grand Union Canal, offering an easy, level stretch alongside the water with the occasional narrowboat drifting past. Turning back towards the estate, you pass the small church of St Michael, tucked beside the manor house, before the route completes its loop near the Barn Restaurant, a welcome stop for tea or a meal at the end of the walk.
With only 34 metres of ascent spread across the route, this is an easy 45-minute outing suitable for most walkers. Nearby Rowington Coppice and Sides Coppice add further options for extending your ramble into the surrounding Warwickshire woodland.
