About this walk

This gentle circular route through Attingham Park is a fine way to soak up autumn colour in the Shropshire countryside. Starting near Attingham Hall, the path leads you past the magnificent Cedars of Lebanon before drifting out into the wider parkland.

The trail continues through Timmis Piece and skirts Botanybay Plantation, where mature trees put on a particularly fine seasonal display. You then reach the Berwick Memorial, a quiet landmark set among the parkland trees, before entering Repton's Wood and joining the Repton Ramble back towards the hall.

At 3.5 km with only modest ascent, it makes an easy 45-minute outing, though there is plenty to linger over. Look out for nearby features such as Acacia Avenue, Robert's Plantation and the curiously named Big Egg and Little Egg on the wider estate if you fancy extending your visit.
