About this walk
This gentle circular walk of just under 7 kilometres explores the quiet Cheshire countryside on the edge of Haslington, starting and finishing at Winterley. With only modest ascent, it makes for an easy half-day outing that combines village lanes, field paths and glimpses of local landmarks.
From Winterley the route heads out towards Haslington, passing the handsome grounds of Haslington Hall and the Haslington Millennium Commemoration Stone, a small marker of the village's community heritage. Along the way you cross gentle farmland near Heathfield Farm and follow paths close to the Valley Brook and Fowle Brook, which thread quietly through the low-lying pasture.
The Haslinton Easy Access Trail Park lies nearby if you fancy extending your visit, and the village itself offers a welcome pause before the return leg back to Winterley. Expect a peaceful mix of hedgerows, field edges and quiet lanes rather than dramatic scenery, with the whole loop comfortably walkable in around an hour and a half.
