Two Moors Festival 2026 – Event Description
The Two Moors Festival is an internationally recognised annual classical music festival set across the breathtaking rural landscapes of Dartmoor and Exmoor in Devon and Somerset, England. Taking place from 1 – 11 October 2026, this unique cultural celebration brings extraordinary live music and artistic experiences to some of the UK’s most inspiring and intimate venues — including village halls, churches, country houses, museums, and even railway stations.
For over two decades, the Festival has woven world-class performance into the fabric of South West communities, presenting a rich programme of chamber music, song, talks, exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses and newly commissioned works. With its reputation for artistic excellence and rural charm, the Two Moors Festival offers both seasoned concert-goers and newcomers the chance to discover extraordinary performances in remarkable places.
Under the artistic direction of Tamsin Waley-Cohen, the 2026 programme will continue to showcase outstanding international artists alongside emerging talent nurtured through the Festival’s Young Musicians’ Competition, community outreach and educational initiatives. Audiences can expect a vibrant mix of classical repertoire spanning centuries, accessible events for all ages, and memorable experiences that celebrate the region’s cultural heritage.
Whether you’re exploring the moors, enjoying a concert in a historic church or discovering new music in a village hall, the Two Moors Festival 2026 promises to be an inspiring highlight of the autumn arts calendar.
