The Dartmoor Beast

Introducing The Dartmoor Beast - a brand new fully-supported trail running challenge through the heart of Dartmoor National Park, on 27 September 2026.
Choose the full 20-mile route or a tough 14-miler across open moorland, rivers, bogs, and steep ascents. This epic race covers some of the toughest terrain in the UK, including the summit of High Willhays – the tallest mountain in southern England.
Toilets and refreshments are available along the route, with hot food and drinks available to purchase at the start and finish from OCRA (Okehampton Community and Recreation Association).
Complete the distance to receive your metal finisher's medal and a proper Devon cream tea in stunning surroundings – with trophies for the fastest male and female.

£2 from each entry will go to the Dartmoor National Park Authority to help maintain recreational routes on Dartmoor with the remaining proceeds going to Hospiscare to help fund patient care in Exeter, central and east Devon.
