Maria will be leading a two day 'plein air' painting workshop, capturing the beauty of the East Devon coast in a fresh and figurative way. Throughout the two days, you will learn the principles of 'plein air' painting, working outdoors from life. We will be rooted in observation but responding quickly and impressionistically as the elements change around us. We will be simplifying the process to paint more freely yet accurately within a shorter space of time, improving colour mixing and application of oil paint. You will also gain confidence in reacting more instinctively to create multiple small, lively and fresh coastal studies responding directly to nature.
