The East Yorkshire coast is set to welcome anglers from across the UK and Europe for one of the continent’s most anticipated sea fishing events.
From Friday 5 March to Sunday 7 March 2027, the European Open Beach Championship returns for its 33rd year, bringing together competitors of all abilities for the largest three-day beach fishing competition in Europe.
Based at Sand le Mere Holiday Park in Tunstall, the championship spans the spectacular East Yorkshire coastline, with fishing taking place from Bridlington to Spurn Point. This unique setting offers participants the chance to experience some of the region’s finest coastal scenery while competing in a prestigious event.
Alongside the excitement of the competition, anglers can look forward to an outstanding prize table featuring top-quality fishing equipment, cash prizes and complimentary goody bags.
The championship is also a fantastic social occasion, giving competitors the opportunity to exchange knowledge, learn new tactics and techniques, and share experiences with fellow anglers from across the UK and beyond. Whether you're a seasoned competitor or a first-time entrant, it's the perfect chance to make new connections and catch up with friends old and new.
Visitors will also have access to exhibits from some of the leading names in the sea angling industry, offering expert advice and insights into the latest equipment, innovations and developments in the sport.
