Area Director - PulhamsWelcome on board our 801 service across the heart of the Cotswolds! It’s great to have you travelling with us and we hope you have a fantastic journey.
This is a route that is highly regarded across the UK as one of the most fascinating and enchanted, combining the historic and vibrant spa town of Cheltenham with quaint, picturesque Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the Water, Moreton-in-the-Marsh and Chipping Norton. It’s a journey of eye-catching architecture, tree-lined streets, classic Cotswolds countryside with sheep and cows and the throng of birds tweeting, through to thatched cottages, meandering streams and rivers as well as the most diverse mix of independent shops and fabulous places to visit.
With bus fares currently frozen at only £2 for adults and £1 for children, there’s never been a better time to get on-board our buses and make a journey to explore the great outdoors!
At Pulhams, we are truly proud to run the 801. We hope this is evident from the service that we provide, with our buses showcasing great customer service, including very friendly and knowledgeable drivers who live in and around the Cotswolds and absolutely love this wonderful part of the UK. We have some quality on-board features, with cleaner engines, comfy seats, and power chargers, so please do sit back, relax, enjoy the ride and the view from the window!
During 2023, Pulhams, which for many years was a thriving family business, was acquired by the multi-award-winning, Go-Ahead Group. This is a really exciting time for the company and our customers, and we are very much committed to retaining the proud tradition and heritage of Pulhams and its fabulous team. We are committed in ensuring the company benefits from the renowned success and investment of Go Ahead, an organisation that focuses on ensuring its businesses reflect and celebrate the needs of the individual and the local communities that it serves. As an early development, you will see that the frequency on the 801 has increased and we have, of course, extended the service to Chipping Norton – a move that is already proving popular with locals and those coming from outside of the region to sample the unique delights of the Cotswolds. I hope to see you on-board the 801 very soon. I am regularly travelling on this great service, often getting distracted by the scenery and places to visit and things to do – but, rest assured, always focused on us continually offering a great service to you!
